The freedom to stay in our home and sleep in our bed is generally taken for granted. Especially if we belong to a family of millionaires. But if these freedoms are denied how much we suffer! We are even willing to part with all our millions just to be left alone!

Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell a British socialite, known for her association with financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is willing to pay up $28.5 millions just to keep her out of jail , reports New York Times here! Her story is not unique or different from millions of others who lose their way and end up where they exactly don’t want to be. This is the fate of everyone who is solely guided by their thoughts with no awareness of where their own mind is leading them.

When we unquestioningly obey our mind, we are led to believe that we are supreme and all others are our enemies. Our ego supporting thoughts which include supremacist thoughts that hold our ego as supreme and separatist thoughts that build a wall around us to keep all others away, when allowed unfettered access to all our actions easily destroy our lives with no hope of redemption.

Becoming aware of our thoughts as they occur and incessantly fact checking them is the only way to prevent them from wreaking havoc in our lives. In my book “Searching for Self — In Pursuit of Inner Peace” we take a deep dive into our mind identity and the misleading thoughts it generates all the time. We also discuss ways of keeping our lives out of its clutches so that the price for our freedom is not quoted in millions!
